Hello and welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Lori Durocher and the 2017-2018 school year marks my 27th year of teaching. This will be my 22nd year with the West Hartford Public Schools, having previously worked in the town of Bethany for 5 years. I have my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (Pre-K to 8) with a minor in Psychology. My Master’s degree is in Early Childhood Education (Pre-K to 2). Having taught Kindergarten for 27 years, I am excited to begin another year with your Kindergarten child!
When not teaching Kindergarten, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Steve and 2 children, Emily and Brian. Emily is currently attending graduate school at Penn State at their medical college. She is studying to be a PA. Brian is a freshman at Salve Regina in Newport, RI majoring in elementary education. My interests outside of school include: book clubs with present and past Norfeldt teachers, yoga, gardening, traveling with my family and working on my 2nd Master's degree.
